What is STEM? STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. STEM occupations are expected to grow 17%. I believe that our school is blessed to offer STEM-related classes because our world is revolving over these core subjects. I will be presenting STEM as a useful career field. Science is basically all around us. Technology is important because it can be seen everywhere we go. It can be seen in our simple phones or in the evolving robotics. Engineering is also a good thing because it is what makes our roads and transportation methods possible. Math, whether we like it or not, most careers will require it because it is a necessary skill we as humans need to acquire. Stem will prepare students enchance those specific skills that employers are looking for.
Therefore, many people can benefit from being involved with FIRST Robotics. This is due to the fact that it a proud representation of STEM. It really open the minds and connections with other people. Students will be able to acquire new skills and be able to design and create robots that will be able to do certain tasks in the competitions that FIRST hosts every year. Many colleges will be impressed with applicants if they include robotics as one of their activities that they are involved in. This shows how involved and open minded can be when it involves being into mechanisms. Many employers will hire people for good leadership and thinking skills that robotics gives to its members.
