I am proud of my team for getting the robot done in time for the Midwest Regional competition! We don’t have to make any drastic changes to the robot during the Midwest Regional and hopefully, we can be able to utilize the practice matches to improve our skill with driving the robot. I want to congratulate my team on this achievement and thank all teams that have helped us during this year’s build season. Our robot has greatly improved after years of experience and scouting of other teams; it hasn’t been a smooth road. Instead of building the electrical and pneumatic system on the base of the robot, we switched to a vertical wall on each side of the robot; one side is electrical and the other side is the pneumatic system. We are very excited about performing at the Midwest Regional! One way I thought of this robot was that it is one of our big finishes as we, the seniors, graduate and move on to the next part of our lives. Some seniors on the team are either the founders of our team or have stuck around with the team for a long time, and ending the build season with a good note is a plus for all of us. As the Midwest Regional slowly approaches, I wonder how other teams have designed their robots and we’ll see their designs when we attend. We’ll be soaring around the competition, be sure to watch out for us!
