CADing the mechanism

For today's meeting we started to work on the chassis of the robot. We got the kit chassis and decided that we wanted to go with the long way. The chassis based would be 32 inches on the sides and the front and back would 27 inches long. We then cut the front bar so that only six inches remanded at the end. We wanted to cut the chassis because we thought of a belt system that would intake power cells from the floor. The idea is the power tells would be fed into a tube that would go up to the other side and allow us to be able to score that way.
While that was going on control system was working on getting all the programming laptops ready. They first had to wipe the computers then reinstall everything. It took a bit of time ,so while they waited for that they worked on creating a small test bed to be able to test motors for an intake idea. We wanted to get as close as possible to a robot doing the work then us using a drill to spin the wheel so that way we can see the intake at full power and there's less room for human error to be involved, and to see if the idea works well.
While that was going mechanism worked on creating a 2D sketch of our belt system that would lift the power cells to scoring position. They wanted to see if the power cells would fit into the belt system and how much storage it take in our robot. Also some members learned how to use CAD for the first time.
